The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 suits people who want a large foldable screen for work and media, along with a versatile camera system. Photography is a standout: its 200 MP resolution and main sensor size are among the best of its time. The clearest trade-off is the 4,400 mAh battery, whose capacity is among the weakest compared with phones launched around the same time. Folded, it is also thicker than most phones of its time.
The 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display reaches 2,600 nits, brighter than most; the cover display measures 6.5 inches. Both have a 120 Hz refresh rate, typical for its time. The Snapdragon 8 Elite and an AnTuTu result of 1,995,132 place its performance above most phones launched around the same time. A telephoto camera adds 3x optical zoom, among the best of its time. IP48 resistance and 15 W wireless charging round out the features.
This version pairs 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage; the phone is also sold in 12 GB / 512 GB and 16 GB / 1 TB configurations. The battery supports 25 W wired charging and reverse wireless charging. Overall, its camera and performance stand above most phones of its time, and its display is especially bright; battery capacity is the main limitation. At launch it was among the most expensive, and it is expensive for what it offers.
