SAPPHIRE lists security-related VBIOS update tools for eight Radeon RX 7000 models, while GIGABYTE’s support page details firmware branches for the Radeon RX 7600 GAMING OC 8G. That page lists BIOS entries dated September 20 and September 30, 2026. These updates modify graphics-card firmware; they are separate from an AMD Adrenalin graphics-driver update.
SAPPHIRE models with updater listings
SAPPHIRE’s firmware page lists update tools for the Radeon RX 7600, RX 7600 XT, RX 7650 GRE, RX 7700 XT, RX 7800 XT, RX 7900 GRE, RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX. SAPPHIRE describes the change as a security improvement identified in partnership with AMD.
GIGABYTE’s RX 7600 VBIOS branches
The GIGABYTE support page gives branch-specific mappings for the Radeon RX 7600 GAMING OC 8G, revisions 1.0 and 1.1. Match the card’s installed VBIOS branch to its listed update branch:
| Installed VBIOS branch | Listed update branch |
| F80–F81 | F82 |
| F90–F91 | F92 |
| FX0–FX1 | FX2 |
| FY0 | FY1 |
| FZ0–FZ1 | FZ2 |
GIGABYTE lists the FX2, FY1 and FZ2 entries with the date September 20, 2026. The F82 and F92 entries are dated September 30, 2026.
A VBIOS update is not an Adrenalin driver update
VBIOS is firmware for the graphics card. Installing a graphics driver updates different software; the manufacturer notices describe updating and flashing the card’s VBIOS. A driver update alone is not the firmware update described in those notices.
GIGABYTE’s prerequisite and flashing warning
For the RX 7600 GAMING OC 8G page, GIGABYTE says updates must stay within the same VBIOS series and lists Visual C++ 2008 as a prerequisite. The company also warns that inadequate BIOS flashing may cause system malfunction.
