There are times when some computers are so strange that even the companies responsible for launching those products lack documentation or functional historical prototypes. However, we can always count on enthusiasts who locate (sometimes by accident) and protect forgotten platforms.
In the past we have seen cases like the Commodore 65 and the famous Nintendo PlayStation that was successfully restored Today it's the turn of the Sega AI Computer, a computer of "artificial intelligence" that arrived in very limited numbers to Japanese stores in 1986.
In fact, the Sega AI Computer is so rare that nobody could confirm if it had a formal launch in Japan. The strongest hypothesis suggests that Sega prioritized the educational space (backed by a good volume of software aimed at the youngest), but some publications of the time clearly indicate that the Sega AI Computer was a "home consumer" computer.

Its specifications reveal a NEC V20 processor (a clone of the Intel 8088 with auxiliary instructions that made it compatible with the Intel 80186), 128 KB of RAM, 128 KB of ROM, and 64 KB of video memory, with a maximum resolution of 256 by 212 pixels. Its external appearance bears certain similarities to the Master System console, which extends to its software distribution, based on the so-called Sega Cards.
The Imgur user "Zadoc" shared a gallery that concentrates a good part of the available images of the Sega AI Computer. Here you have a selection and a video of the console in operation, shared on the smspower.org forum (where you can find many more collector images).
