ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter monitors your connection's bandwidth usage, allowing you to see how much internet you use on your computer. The platform gives you an overview of the data used each day (when you start your computer) and throughout the month.
The utility also provides statistics you can use as patterns to compare each month's browsing, so you can adjust your habits.
Once you download the program from its official page, you'll see its simple interface and how it doesn't consume system resources. During installation, you'll need to make some adjustments.
Using the Tool
You can enable the tool from its icon in the system tray. Its interface shows three columns: "Now" displays the amount of data downloaded and uploaded at that moment (you can reset it), "Today" shows the data downloaded and uploaded during the day, and "This Month" shows the month's total.
The tool doesn't stop there. If you right-click the icon in the tray, you'll access the "Monthly Totals…" option, which shows complete statistics of your connection's upload and download data for each month of the year, letting you observe your internet habits each month. From the same menu, you can also change data units to megabytes, kilobytes, or gigabytes, reset the counter, or adjust the interface's transparency level.
ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter is a really good bandwidth usage monitor, thanks to its varied functions and low system resource consumption. However, it lacks an upload and download speed monitor.
ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter is a free program available for Windows operating systems.
