Apple says eligible users who opt into the Siri AI beta can complete setup and start an automatic download. A waitlist may still apply during high demand, and the beta remains limited by device, software, language and account-region requirements (Apple’s support guide).
Business Insider reported that Apple updated its access guidance on November 2, 2026, moving eligible opt-in users from a default waitlist to an automatic-download flow.
Before starting, check that your device and software meet Apple’s requirements. The download follows the setup steps, and high demand can still mean a wait.
How to start the Siri AI beta download
First, update a compatible device. Then open Settings > Siri and select Try Siri AI (Beta). If Siri is turned off, turn it on before continuing. Follow the prompts to choose a voice, enroll your voice and review the privacy settings. The download starts automatically after setup.
Which devices and software Apple lists as compatible
Apple’s guide lists these platform requirements:
- iPhone: iOS 27 on iPhone 15 Pro models and later, iPhone 16 models or later, iPhone Duo, and iPhone Air.
- iPad: iPadOS 27 on iPad mini (A17 Pro and A20 Pro) and iPad models with M1 or later.
- Mac: macOS 27 Golden Gate on MacBook Neo (A18 Pro) and Mac models with M1 or later.
- Apple Watch: watchOS 27 on Apple Watch Series 9 or later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, or Apple Watch SE 3. Each must be paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone that has Siri AI enabled.
- Apple Vision Pro: visionOS 27 on any Apple Vision Pro.
Apple also requires an eligible Apple Account region and the same supported language for the device and Siri. Its November 5 support guide lists English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, and says availability varies by region and platform. Siri AI is unavailable to users under 13.
The access update answers how enrollment begins. For the separate question of what Siri AI can do, see earlier NeoTeo coverage of its app actions and reported limits.
Regional limits still shape access
Apple says EU residents cannot use Siri AI on iOS, iPadOS or watchOS. The company lists macOS and visionOS access for EU residents when their Apple Account region is set to the EU and their device and Siri languages match a supported language. Apple also says Siri AI currently will not work with an Apple Account region set to mainland China.
