We have more than once talked about a hypothetical "maintenance and repair USB drive" that every user should have at hand for convenience. If we have to highlight a problem with SmartFix, it's that we can't undo its integration into the recovery menu, and we have no way of knowing exactly what changes it applies to the network configuration, but apart from that, the package has the potential to get a large number of users out of trouble.
