One of the most annoying and frequent moments for any user is when they have a slow internet connection and want to watch YouTube videos; no matter how much we hit play, we never know when the video will start playing. The extension works with all videos, whether from YouTube itself or videos shared on Facebook.
Customizing how videos load
All videos can be configured to your liking: either as soon as the page loads, when the video finishes loading, leaving it up to SmartVideo to decide when it's good to start playing the video (based on your current download speed), or simply start the YouTube buffer when the page loads (in this section you can play the video whenever you want). There are some other small options integrated into SmartVideo, such as video quality selection (one of the extension's drawbacks was lack of support for higher resolutions, now fixed).
More SmartVideo features
Other SmartVideo options include calculating the time remaining before the video starts playing (you can hover your mouse over the YouTube video to see this), and once the video is buffered, the user can be notified to play the video.
