Math in Address Bar lets you type a math equation directly into Firefox's address bar and get the answer instantly. The add-on's main strength is solving complex equations.
Supported Constants and Functions
The extension supports Euler's constant (E), natural log of 10 (LN10), the square root of 0.5, and natural log of 2, among other constants. The supported functions include acos(x), E to the power of x (exp(x)), log10(x), sin(x), tan(x), cos(x), log(x), cubic root (cbrt(x)), asin(x), and more.
How to Use Math in Address Bar
Once you have installed the add-on in your web browser, you don't need to change any settings or restart Firefox. It's ready to go. Just go to the address bar, type math, leave a space, and then write the equation you want to solve.
If there's an error in the equation, like a missing bracket, the add-on will show it in a pop-up window. If everything is correct, you'll see the add-on working through the equation in real time and displaying the result in a dialog box below the address bar.
The add-on keeps the last 30 equations and their answers for quick reference. In our tests it worked flawlessly; we tried it with several equations and got results every time.
