Mountains, forests, small patches of grass. The micro and the macro. Majestic animals, almost invisible insects, incredible skies, and unique moments under the water. Photography gives us so much to enjoy and celebrate, and it leads us to the Ocean Art Contest, which just announced the winners of its 2019 edition. Divided into multiple categories and with more than $85,000 in prizes, the final results are truly wonderful.
Anyone can decide to go out and look for a photograph, but facing the environment itself is a completely different story. For example, we still remember the work of Nicolas Bruno related to sleep paralysis. The idea of maneuvering between lakes and swamps is very intimidating, but imagine taking your equipment underwater. The risk is great... but sometimes it's worth it. If you have any doubts, look at the winners of the Ocean Art Contest 2019.
Seventeen categories, thousands of entries from 78 countries, more than $85,000 in prizes... and the images. True windows to the underwater world, full of fabulous creatures, incredible patterns, and a spectacular festival of colors. Below we share the main winners, and some extra photos that are honestly priceless. If you want to see the rest, feel free to visit the official page.
