It's time for actor Michael Fassbender to take on the role of Apple's pioneering founder. Steve Jobs is the new biographical film centered on the presentation of three revolutionary inventions during the career of the iconic creator.
Four years have passed since the death of Steve Jobs and during that time we saw a film inspired by his life. We're talking about the controversial Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher as the Apple founder, which was described as too sentimental and boring in a few words. This year sees the second biography starring Michael Fassbender (Magneto in the new X-Men adaptations) in the film titled Steve Jobs. The script is an adaptation of the homonymous biography written by author Walter Isaacson at Steve Jobs's own request.

A film spanning sixteen years
Unlike Ashton Kutcher's version, which focused on summarizing the life of the iconic creator, this film spans sixteen years of Steve Jobs's life, focusing on the presentation of three revolutionary inventions: starting in 1984 with the launch of the Mac computer, moving through the NeXT computer system in 1988, and ending with the introduction of the iMac in 1998. The film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter, with some flashback scenes representing key moments in Jobs's life.
Cast and crew
We only hope this adaptation doesn't bore us like director Joshua Michael Stern did with Jobs. The leading role goes to Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs. The rest of the cast includes Kate Winslet (Joanna Hoffman, member of the Mac group), Seth Rogen (Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple), and Jeff Daniels (John Sculley, CEO of Apple), among others. Produced by Scott Rudin and written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network), the film will be directed by Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Trance). Steve Jobs is scheduled for release on October 9, 2015.
