Super Mario 64 is undoubtedly one of the best games ever made by Nintendo, and one of the greatest of all time. Many fans show their love and loyalty by creating new mods and optimizing the original code (something the Japanese giant doesn't appreciate too much), but there is one name that stands out especially, and that is Kaze Emanuar, whom we have mentioned before. What did he do this time? A game called Super Mario 64 Land. 32 levels, 70 different zones, 8 new bosses. What are you waiting for?

The Mario universe continues to expand thanks to the success of the Switch console, but it's never a bad idea to revisit the classics from time to time. For example, Super Mario 64 deserves all your attention, even if the only option is to play it through an emulator. Now, how about something new, with the aesthetic of that inexhaustible classic? If you agree to try such a game, then we have a surprise for you, from Kaze Emanuar's channel.

Who is Kaze Emanuar?

Probably the most important Super Mario 64 modder on the internet. He was the one who created an online version of SM64 (which Nintendo destroyed with pure nuclear fire), and who hacked the original ROM to run at 60 FPS. He also developed the mod to play as Bowsette, a character that had an explosion of popularity last year. Kaze's new monster is called Super Mario 64 Land, and it looks great:

32 new levels, 70 different areas, a total of 75 musical tracks, 8 new bosses, 10 power-ups, elements imported from other Mario games... let's say you have many hours of fun ahead. However, I think it's worth exploring Kaze's playthrough with commentary on its development first. From a technical standpoint, Super Mario 64 Land is not a standalone game, but a mod for the Super Mario 64 ROM image.

How to install Super Mario 64 Land

What does that mean? Three things: On one hand, you'll need to get a copy of the ROM (Google is your ally), download the patch using the MEGA link published in the description of the first video, and use the online patcher from the Hack64.net forum to join both parts. An extra recommendation from Kaze is to enable the 8 MB RAM option if the chosen emulator is Project64 (available on Windows and Android).

And what can we expect from Nintendo? Essentially, the same as always (let's not forget that it tried to kill Pokémon Uranium, and liquidated Mario Royale). For that reason we recommend a quick download of Super Mario 64 Land, before the link is bombarded.
