The NES Classic Edition (known as Classic Mini in Europe) was an absolute success. Not one to be late, Nintendo is moving to 16-bit with the announcement of the Super NES Classic Edition, a miniature version of the console that includes twenty-one games.
Following the success of the NES Classic Edition late last year, Nintendo announced via its Twitter account the launch of the Super NES Classic Edition. The big N plans to repeat the same formula with the 16-bit version of the console, which will be called Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System in Europe. The mini console will be released on September 29, 2017, at a price of $79.99, and includes twenty-one preloaded titles. Among them are:

Star Fox 2 and console details
The Super NES Classic Edition includes some of the best games in history, but without doubt the most interesting inclusion is Star Fox 2, a complete but unreleased sequel to the classic space combat game by Shigeru Miyamoto, which had never been released before. A complete version of the game has been known for several years but it hasn't been released until now, apparently for legal reasons. As for the console, it comes with two wired controllers (for now it's unknown how long the cables will be—a very annoying drawback of the original console was the short length of these cables—), an HDMI cable, and a USB power cable. In a strange point of difference, the US version will come with the AC adapter needed to connect the USB cable, but the European version does not include it. Now we just have to wait until September to get our hands on this new mini console and enjoy a nostalgic trip to the past.
