Previously known as Netflix Party, this Chrome extension allows us to synchronize video playback remotely, and add a chat room so all participants can comment in real time.
The most important streaming services are preparing a new round of movies and series to keep us glued to the screen. High-profile franchises are combined with original projects, additional seasons, and some acquisitions that have made a lot of noise. Teleparty: A Whole 'Netflix Party' Within Reach
The entire process is divided into five steps: Install the extension, place the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar, open the movie or series on your preferred service, create a Teleparty, or join a Teleparty made by someone else. One of the most interesting aspects is that it now works beyond Netflix. As of version 2.0, Teleparty is also compatible with Hulu, Disney Plus, and HBO. The Teleparty chat allows us to configure username and icon, as well as upload screenshots, emojis, and animated GIFs.
Even so, Teleparty / Netflix Party is not free from technical requirements. The most important is that we can only use the extension on Chrome and other flavors of Chromium. There is also no support for mobile devices, Smart TVs, and/or consoles: Teleparty works with desktop and laptop computers.
Finally, the extension does not enable free access to streaming services, and each participant (maximum of 50 per room) must have their own account. Anyway, Teleparty's free profile and ease of use make this extension an indispensable resource if you want to watch Netflix with your friends and family.
