Tesla began customer deliveries of production-line Semi trucks at its Sparks, Nevada, factory on Sept. 24, 2026. Executives displayed trucks designated for PepsiCo, DHL and US Foods. The milestone follows limited PepsiCo deliveries that began in late 2022.
Tesla’s Semi account described the event as the start of high-volume production.
From early deliveries to production-line handovers
Tesla unveiled the Semi in 2017, initially targeting production for 2019. The later milestones show how the program moved from limited customer deliveries to production-line handovers.

U.S. range ratings and Tesla’s production goal
Tesla rates the U.S. Standard version at 325 miles and the Long Range at up to 500 miles per charge when fully loaded. Dan Priestley, Tesla’s director of Semi truck engineering, said customers had validated the Long Range figure in real-world operation.
Tesla’s eventual goal for its Nevada plant is to build 50,000 Semis per year. That is a future production goal, not a report of output achieved at the September delivery event.
