Whether you're a photographer, videographer, physicist, or student, we have a method to simulate the physics of lenses using optical ray tracing. With the program OpticalRayTracer, you can arrange various types of lenses in its interface and see how light rays bend or reflect as they pass through them. This allows you to observe the behavior of rays across multiple lenses and better understand different optical phenomena.

Getting Started

Once the application is running (you'll need Java), the first step is to click anywhere in the interface with the right mouse button and choose New Lens from the context menu. You can then add one or more lenses, and the program supports drag-and-drop.

Configuring the Lens and Rays

After configuring the lens from the Design tab, you can adjust parameters like angle, number, color, and more. For that, select the Configure tab, which is located at the bottom of the platform's interface.

Viewing the Results

Once all parameters are set, just go to the Table tab to see all the information about the lenses. You can export the report as HTML or copy it to the clipboard.
