The fall of a video game studio is never good news, and we all felt a bucket of cold water when details about the closure of Telltale Games began to circulate. Great names have passed through their hands, and it's likely that several of them will remain without an ending, unless some external element intervenes. Until that happens (we hope), all we have left is to review the extraordinary talent of some of the artists who worked at Telltale Games and who, with their strokes, brought entire universes to life.

I think the correct term to describe Telltale Games right now is "intensive care." Its executives laid off the vast majority of employees (who, by the way, didn't receive a single cent in severance, even in extreme cases working up to 80 hours a week), and available information suggests that only about 25 people remain at the company, whose sole goal will be to finish the pending work on Minecraft: Story Mode. Even high-profile projects like the second season of Game of Thrones and the Stranger Things game bit the dust, and the final episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season are on life support. It's logical to be angry with Telltale Games once you learn the details of the dreadful treatment of its employees, and the feeling is that the executives bit off more than they could chew, securing multiple licenses at once and placing too much pressure on their development team. If we add to that the poor sales of their main titles (despite good reception), the truth is there is not much chance of recovery.

But beyond frustration and anger, we still have memories, stories, and above all, the art. The people who worked for Telltale Games are extremely talented, and if the world of digital entertainment is fair, they won't take long to find new jobs. Brian Matyas, John Grello, Michael Broussard, Jason Courtney, Derek Stratton, Joyce Xu, Bruce Glidewell, Gray Rogers, Min Fu, Rolf Mohr, Robin Chyo, GFactory Studio, Evan Yovaisis, and Megan Gritzfeld are some of those responsible for the images you'll see below. If you want to learn more about their work, don't hesitate to click and visit their personal profiles.
