The Coalition announced that Ranked Versus was available in Gears of War: E-Day on October 13, 2026, with Demolition, Crucible, Conquest and Team Deathmatch, plus exclusive rewards for rank progression. The next day, its patch notes said a placement-match issue that put some players in the wrong skill division had been addressed. (The Coalition’s announcement; October 14 patch notes)
Ranked Versus has four playlists
The Coalition’s announcement names the four playlists and promises exclusive rewards for players who progress their rank. The game menu presents Ranked as a competitive option alongside Social.
The placement fix and the rank structure
The October 14 patch notes say a placement-match problem had assigned some players to the wrong skill division and that the issue was addressed. Gameplay creator Kenny Kent describes five tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold, Onyx and Diamond—with five stages per tier and divisions from D to A. His account comes from a Spanish-language gameplay video.
Specific fixes across game modes
The Coalition’s October 14 notes list stability and optimization work for PC, Xbox and handhelds, plus memory improvements intended to address crashes and performance degradation during long sessions. They also cover account-linking and login problems, the Social Menu and friends list, anti-cheat, certain colorblind settings, and Weapon Mods in Campaign and Horde Siege. The notes do not quantify performance gains.
Several listed fixes target specific situations: a Corpser could become unkillable during a Horde Siege Invasion Event; a Conquest zone on Precinct could be controlled from outside its boundary; a dropped bomb could get stuck on Park in Demolition; and co-op Campaign progress could fail to track. These are examples from the patch, not a full list of its changes.
Recovering missing Campaign items
The patch fixes several Campaign tracking and progression issues, but missing collectibles and Campaign-earned skins or titles are not restored automatically. Players can identify and recollect missing collectibles. To re-earn eligible missing skins or titles, The Coalition’s notes advise starting a new campaign from a completed mission and replaying that mission. The notes also list a known issue in which some achievements and associated rewards may still fail to be awarded upon completion; The Coalition said it was investigating.
