The Stenin Press Photo competition has been held for four years to honor Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin, who lost his life in August 2014 while covering the armed conflict in Ukraine. The 2018 edition brought together photographers from 77 countries, who shared nearly six thousand works. Unique, unexpected, chaotic, passionate, and deeply personal moments were captured in these images that we now share.
Incidents on the street, armed men, athletes in their element, girls boxing, elderly people, war zones. Snow, water, fire, dust. Photographers from around the world poured their talent into the Stenin Press Photo 2018 competition (sponsored by UNESCO), and the results are plain to see. With the awards presented and the exhibitions opened, everything is set for participants in the 2019 edition to submit their work from the upcoming December 22. What are you waiting for...?
