How long does it take to recharge your smartphone when it's low on battery? About an hour? Well, forget that, because at CES 2015, StoreDot presented its new charger that recharges batteries in less time than you can imagine.
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) keeps amazing us, and once again the Israeli company StoreDot blew our minds with its battery recharging device. If you don't remember, last year StoreDot presented a battery prototype that, with the help of a special charger, completely restored a Samsung Galaxy S4 in just 28 seconds. This time the company unveiled the new kit capable of recharging mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and portable devices 100 times faster than a normal charger.
At first glance, you can tell that StoreDot kept its promise of miniaturizing the special charger to make it as light and thin as possible. The only downside is that we can't use it on our mobile devices yet, because most of them would fry from the forty amps of electricity the charger delivers. To avoid that, you'd need a battery built from synthetic organic molecules. That's why the company is already in talks with phone manufacturers to incorporate the technology into new devices coming out in the near future.
If all goes well, in the future we'll be able to forget the eternal wait to recharge your phone battery (not to mention when you need to recharge it more than once a day).
