The Dark Tribe: Assassins of the Shadows
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a series of trailers for Middle-earth: Shadow of War that present the various tribes inhabiting Middle-earth. In this sequel, orcs now belong to tribes, extending their influence from the Overlords who rule the powerful fortresses across the open world, providing a rich ecosystem of quests, exploration, and a dynamic society with diverse orc cultures through the expanded Nemesis System. Among them is the Dark Tribe, a secret and stealthy clan of assassin orcs who fight for Sauron. Born in darkness and raised in shadow, these orcs are like ninjas who move silently through the shadows, attacking enemies and escaping before anyone realizes what happened.
Terror and Machine: Fear and Industry
At the same time, the Terror Tribe spreads fear across Mordor. As expert torturers, the Terror Tribe relies on its infamous reputations to inspire fear against Sauron's enemies. Along with the Dark Tribe and the Terror Tribe, Middle-earth: Shadow of War will also feature the Machine Tribe, tasked with producing weapons for Sauron's endless armies in his mission to conquer Middle-earth. Hopefully we can recruit a few of these orcs to use their destructive creations when assaulting enemy fortresses.
The Marauder Tribe: Style and Power
And if you go to war, you have to go in style, and that's where the Marauder Tribe excels. Watching this last video, I'm sure this is not what J.R.R. Tolkien had in mind when he imagined the fearsome and ferocious orcs. Maybe it's the costumes. Maybe it's the rhythm. Maybe it's the way they pose and move as they work to demonstrate their commitment to 'power' and 'respect'. Middle-earth: Shadow of War is being developed by Monolith Productions and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One starting October 10, 2017.
