Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the long-awaited sequel to Shadow of Mordor, where a new Ring of Power has been forged, unleashing a war in which you will face the most deadly enemies, including Sauron and the Nazgûl, in a monumental battle for Middle-earth.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the sequel to the multi-award-winning Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which continues the story of the Ranger Talion, still infused with the spirit of the elf Lord Celebrimbor. Talion has forged a new Ring of Power, which Celebrimbor believes could be controlled to avoid becoming a Dark Lord and instead become a powerful king. Talion, though less interested in power, believes Celebrimbor's cause is just and agrees to help face the recently returned Sauron and the Nazgûl in a monumental battle for Middle-earth.
As in Shadow of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a third-person action RPG in an open world that will immerse you in J.R.R. Tolkien's world like never before. The open-world action adventure comes to life thanks to the improved and expanded Nemesis System. Now, the first game's level of customization is applied to the whole world, where the environment and characters are shaped by your decisions and actions, creating a personal and unique world for each gaming experience.
To save Middle-earth, you need to go behind enemy lines and use the power of the new ring to forge an army and conquer Mordor from within. On the map, you can see regions to conquer. Each region has a distinct environment with unique enemies and allies. There are multiple ways to take a fortress: open combat, stealth, and infiltration, where you can use a spy in enemy ranks to sabotage their defenses. Without a doubt, the game looks incredible and promises to live up to its predecessor. Middle-earth: Shadow of War is being developed by Monolith Productions and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One starting August 25, 2017.
