Notebookcheck measured 22.6 hours of battery life for the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 in its Wi-Fi v1.3 browsing test, with the screen set to 150 cd/m². The result came from model 21UE000MGE, equipped with a 1920×1200 IPS display; it describes that review configuration and test, not every version of the laptop.
What Notebookcheck measured
The tested ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 had a 90 Wh battery, an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H processor, an NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell GPU and 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 LPCAMM2 memory. Its 22.6-hour result was recorded during Wi-Fi browsing at 150 cd/m².

How it compares in the same test
In Notebookcheck’s Wi-Fi v1.3 comparison, the P1 Gen 9 had the longest reported runtime among the six listed laptops. These figures are results for the configurations in that comparison, under its test conditions.
| Laptop | Reported runtime |
| Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 21UE000MGE | 22.6 hours |
| Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 | 5.5 hours |
| HP ZBook X G1i 16 | 12.5 hours |
| Dell XPS 16 Core Ultra X7 358H | 10.3 hours |
| Samsung Galaxy Book6 Ultra | 16.8 hours |
| Apple MacBook Pro 16 2026 M5 Pro | 18.5 hours |
Why the display and workload matter
The 22.6-hour figure applies to the P1 Gen 9 with its 1920×1200 WUXGA panel. Notebookcheck says that display likely helped the runtime. The review also describes 3200×2000 Tandem OLED and 3840×2400 IPS options, but does not report battery results for those screens.
The test measured Wi-Fi browsing, not sustained GPU-intensive work. Notebookcheck attributes the result partly to Intel’s Panther Lake platform, but its review does not isolate the processor’s effect from the rest of the configuration.
Read 22.6 hours as a result for one 1920×1200 browsing-test setup, rather than as a runtime rating for every P1 Gen 9 configuration.
