Recently I mentioned NVCleanstall to download the latest version of Nvidia drivers, eliminate its bloatware at the root, and add support for older cards. However, there is another solid tool that performs a similar task: TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker, which just received an update after five months. If you don't want to use GeForce Experience to download drivers, this will work for you.
As could not be otherwise, Nvidia seeks to manage the user “experience” with its products, including the installation and behavior of its drivers. That has given rise to tools like GeForce Experience, which includes streaming, video recording, image capture, optimized profiles for certain games, and of course, an update system.
The problem is that many users (including myself) feel that Nvidia's strategy regarding GeForce Experience is pure bloatware, and it also requires a login. So, by renouncing GeForce Experience, the end user loses the possibility of receiving updates for their drivers, unless... they use an alternative resource. That resource is TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker, which was updated in the last few hours.
Update your Nvidia drivers with TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker
The last update for this program had been published in June 2022, announcing the retirement of classic drivers (that is, those that are not DCH). However, Nvidia modified the code of its API, and for almost half a year, TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker stopped working. Fortunately, its developer ElPumpo returned to the project, sharing build 1.14.7.
As for the main menu, all we see there is the report on the latest available version of the drivers, how much time has passed since its release, and the size. The two main options are Install Now (which proceeds as a normal installation), and Download Only, to save a local copy.
Beyond an isolated error about unavailable resources (which has already been reported), the latest build of TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker works very well, and I definitely recommend it. Download a copy!
