TinyTask is a program that records screen activity and then plays it back indefinitely. It is free, easy to use, and does its job very well. All that in 35KB!
There are times when we have to perform repetitive and tiring tasks on the computer, like having to click a certain button from time to time, refreshing a page, or preventing the screen from turning off while watching a movie, among many others that depend on each user. What many people don't know is that all those simple mouse actions can be recorded and automated to run at specific intervals without your involvement. As long as the 'landscape' on which the program acts doesn't change, you won't have to make annoying clicks again. TinyTask records screen activity and plays back the actions later, repeatedly.
How to record mouse actions?
TinyTask's interface is very small, appearing as a floating window with the necessary buttons to give you control over your recordings. TinyTask is free and portable. The program itself takes up only 35KB, and of that, more than 14KB are graphics, so the executable portion is very small and efficient. When you run TinyTask, a very small user interface appears with only 6 buttons.
If you don't know what each button does, move the mouse cursor over the icons and the title bar will update to show the function. But since we're already here and you might not know English, I'll tell you that the first button on the left is Open, Save, Record, Play, Compile, and Options, respectively.
To start recording, press the third button or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R. If you like what you recorded, whether with keyboard or mouse, you can press Save and the file will be saved as a .REC. Then, to open and play it, you'll only have to press Open and load the file in question.
The Compile button converts the macro from .REC to an executable .exe file. That way you can run the macro without needing TinyTask. Now, when we do this to the file, the speed change options are nullified and the macro keeps the values set in Options at the time of recording. It's a good idea to back up the .REC file before compiling it to EXE.
As for the speed of the macro, available through Options, we remind you that if you record a macro that runs at high speed, or that is very short and needs to be constantly playing, you might have some difficulty finishing it, so always keep an escape route in mind, even Ctrl+Alt+Escape. Otherwise, the application for recording and automating screen activity is more than recommended.
