We have never been in better conditions to watch television over the Internet. Previously we shared the virtues of services like Pluto.TV and Photocall.TV left us all with our mouths open. However, today we want to mention Tivify, a service available in Spanish territory. Tivify started its adventure with two subscription systems, but recently presented a third plan that enables access to more than 80 free TDT channels, and some extras that will surely be of interest to you.
TV and the Web, an increasingly close relationship
Some services seem not to have received the message, while others rush to accept and adapt to change as quickly as possible. High-profile events like Euro 2020 and the Copa América only confirmed the trend: The future of television is on the Web. Large panels, small screens, marathon sessions or small daily doses, none of that matters. People want more flexibility, and several platforms are heading in that direction.
One of them is Tivify, launched by the TVUP Media group last year. Streaming platform, content integration, “video-on-demand”... many expressions have been used to describe it, but our priority today is the free TDT channels. That's right: Tivify enabled a new free profile, which also puts on the table a demo of 30 days, without contracts or permanence obligations.
Free TDT channels: What exactly does Tivify offer?
The traditional Tivify plans are divided into two: Plus, with a price of 4.99 euros per month, and Premium, at 9.99 euros. Both include more than 80 TDT channels, between 6 and 15 premium channels, a maximum of five linked devices, two simultaneous views, 150 hours of recordings, availability of the same for 90 days, and unlimited access to the last seven days on allowed channels.
However, the new plan is not far behind: The free version maintains its base of 80 TDT channels, allows us to link three devices, and offers 60 hours of recordings limited to RTVE and regional broadcasts, with a availability ceiling for recordings of 30 days. As expected, the premium channels were removed from the equation, but it is still a great deal of content at zero cost, something we definitely appreciate.
The rest is a matter of visiting the official Tivify page, and creating an account. It is worth remembering that it is not only available in web version, but you can also take advantage of its apps for iOS and Android, both in conventional version and its TV variant.
