Transforming photos using artificial intelligence isn't exactly new, and over time we've enjoyed plenty of projects that reduce the whole process to a couple of clicks. One of the most popular these days is ToonMe, which includes several filters in its mobile app, among which the "ToonMe Simpsonizados" stand out, along with the conversion to Pixar characters.
ToonMe: Simpsonized, Pixar, or Whatever You Want
From the Renaissance transformations of AI Gahaku to "real" Disney characters, including people who don't exist and hand-drawn sketches, the relationship between artificial intelligence, art, and human faces gets closer all the time. Exploring, converting, experimenting, making mistakes, and trying something different have given rise to a wide range of apps and online pages that let end users "play" with their images without needing to absorb low-level knowledge.
That brings us to ToonMe, an app that has essentially exploded on the web and promises to transform all your photos depending on the filter you use. Its most popular styles focus on Disney/Pixar characters, but it also includes a "ToonMe Simpsonizados" mode in its app that can look fabulous—or be a real horror. That's the dynamic of services like ToonMe: try, try, and try again.
Naturally, the Pro edition of ToonMe is much more complete than its online variant, but you'll have to pay five dollars a month (it's a subscription, not a purchase), or jump straight to ten dollars a year. There's also a three-day trial mode, but you need to associate payment info with Google Play to activate it. Personally, I recommend experimenting with the online edition first, and if you're convinced, commit to a larger plan later if you want ToonMe Simpsonizados.
