TSMC reported consolidated revenue of NT$511.86 billion for September 2026, up 54.6% year over year, in an October 8 company release. Previews published October 12 listed ASML’s Q3 report for October 14 and TSMC’s for October 15, putting the monthly figure in view ahead of both scheduled reports.
TSMC’s revenue figures cover two different periods
| Reporting period | Consolidated revenue | Change from the year-earlier period |
| September 2026 | NT$511.86 billion | +54.6% |
| January–September 2026 | NT$3,898.73 billion | +41.1% |
TSMC also reported that September revenue was 0.6% lower than in August. The September figure covers one month; the January–September total covers nine months. Those periods give different snapshots of the foundry’s revenue heading into its Q3 report.
What the ASML options signal measures
On October 12, TipRanks reported an options-implied move of about 6% in either direction for ASML shares after its Q3 report. Options pricing offers an estimate of a possible move’s size; it does not indicate whether shares will rise or fall. TipRanks compared that estimate with ASML’s average absolute one-day move of 2.38% after its previous four quarterly reports. The implied move is about 2.5 times that historical average (6 ÷ 2.38 ≈ 2.52).
ASML’s outlook and the signals investors were watching
Beurs.nl, publishing ABM Financial News reporting, put ASML’s Q3 revenue outlook at €11.0–12.0 billion and gross-margin outlook at 55–57%. Its reported full-year 2026 outlook was €43–45 billion in revenue and a 54–56% gross margin. These are outlook ranges, separate from the analyst estimates and options-market expectations discussed ahead of the report. (Beurs.nl)
John Blank, a guest on Schwab Network, argued that ASML’s valuation left little room for error and discussed risks across the broader AI industry. His comments are market opinion, not company guidance.
An October 12 Yahoo Finance roundup from Stocktwits said investors were watching ASML’s orders and 2027 outlook. For TSMC, it highlighted gross margin, next-quarter guidance, capital spending and demand for AI chips. The companies’ results were listed for October 14 and 15, respectively: ASML first, followed by TSMC.
