An Island of Survival and Conflict
Valnir Rok is an online survival role-playing game inspired by Norse mythology. The adventure takes place on the island of Valnir, where players must do whatever it takes to survive in a land of wild animals, mythical beasts, and violent men. Taking control of a Viking warrior, you must eliminate your enemies in bloody combat, build and upgrade village structures, and form a clan to expand its power and reputation. Once you have a clan, you can battle opposing clans, take their belongings, and build your own kingdom with your friends.
Quests, Exploration, and Crafting
As you travel through villages and towns, you can interact with characters who will offer you a series of quests, such as becoming a hunter, to earn juicy rewards and renown for your character. You can also explore caves and ruins in search of treasures, as well as make offerings to the gods in their temples to obtain various benefits. Item crafting will also be available, allowing you to improve your Viking's skills by crafting tools, weapons, armor, and potions until you become a master craftsman.
Development and Release
The game is being developed by Encurio GmbH, an independent team based in Cologne, Germany. "It is the dream of all passionate gamers to make games, and we take our first big step in making that dream a reality with the announcement of Valnir Rok," says Sebastian Rahmel, game director at Encurio GmbH. "We love Vikings and survival games, so it was natural for us to follow our vision of a survival RPG with Vikings. Our development team is very passionate about the project, and we are all eager to debut the game at Gamescom 2017." Valnir Rok is being developed by Encurio GmbH and will be available on Windows. The game does not have a concrete release date yet, but it is expected to arrive on Steam Early Access in September 2017.
