Firecrackers, rockets, sparklers, firecracker strings, Roman candles, and everything that explodes, makes noise, and shoots out light. Fireworks are a world unto themselves, and they're wonderful when used responsibly — but they've lost some popularity in certain regions due to accidents, cost, and their negative effect on pets. Yet in the past, firework makers didn't hesitate to deploy every trick in the book to stand out from the competition, and that included true works of art on their boxes.
The folks at Dangerous Minds shared a great selection of images in honor of the Fourth of July (a day when some Americans shoot things… a bit heavier than fireworks), but today's gallery is mainly based on the excellent content from Monster Brains, which has already appeared on NeoTeo more than once. Now imagine being 11 or 12 years old and seeing these boxes. How could that firecracker not be powerful if it has a giant gorilla with a stick of dynamite...?
