False alarm. I thought I had wiped out the whiteflies on my lemon tree, as I told you yesterday in the Dump, but they came back with a vengeance. So today I was again trying to fight them. I switched the laundry soap for potassium soap and once again inspected every one of the thousands of leaves, top and bottom. I also picked all the lemons, about 200, and set up some 'chromatic traps', because I learned they're attracted to yellow. If none of this works, I'll go for the nuclear option and use some chemical poison. I'm all for natural solutions, but it's only natural that these pests eat my tree, and that's not happening. Anyway, I wanted to fill you in on the state of my battle against the infestation. Not because you care, but because I wanted to tell you.
