My town is under quarantine, and you can’t hear a peep. To use the cliché, it’s a sepulchral silence. Even the motorbikes with their exhausts wide open—so annoying before—have gone quiet these days. I don’t miss them, but the stillness is unsettling. That’s the backdrop for this Visual Dump, in case you need the context. I hope that unease hasn’t crept into my image selection, and that you enjoy it as much as, or more than, previous editions. Enjoy!

If you asked me to summarize this Oliver Stone film in a few words, I’d say: "Panic and madness in El Salvador," and I’d be pretty close to what you’ll find if you hit play. It’s a denunciation film, as the good Oliver has accustomed us to, showing the military dictatorship in El Salvador and reflecting on the role of the United States in the whole affair. James Wood and James Belushi make a fantastic duo: two misogynistic, drug-fueled drunks who "escape" the U.S. to try to make money reporting the news.
