One of Danny DeVito's best: Ruthless People (1986). A couple in financial trouble kidnaps DeVito's wife (Bette Midler) to collect the ransom. Little did they know when they got involved that Danny couldn't care less about his wife and is delighted with the situation. To make matters worse, Bette Midler is insufferable and makes their lives miserable. A hilarious movie. Perfect to watch alongside Throw Momma from the Train (1987).
