The vivo Y3s is suited to buyers who want a simple phone with a large-capacity battery and can accept slow 10 W charging. Its 5000 mAh battery has more capacity than that of most phones of its time, while its charging is slower than most. That makes the trade-off straightforward: substantial capacity, but modest charging power.

The 6.35-inch IPS LCD gives reading and video a roomy display. Its 268 ppi density is lower than that of most phones of its time, so display detail is a limitation to weigh.
