WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026, with PC requirements aimed at two very different targets: 1080p at 60 fps on Low settings with upscaling at the minimum level, and native 1440p above 70 fps on Medium with the recommended hardware. The US Steam listing shows the base game at $39.99.

WARDOGS minimum PC requirements

For the minimum target, WARDOGS requires Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 590, and 50GB of available storage. A broadband internet connection is also required.

The key detail is the word upscaling. The minimum target describes a 1080p output at 60 fps after the game reconstructs the image from a lower internal resolution. The Steam listing does not state that internal resolution, so the GTX 1660 and RX 590 are not tied to a published native-1080p performance target.

The recommended configuration moves to Windows 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, and an Nvidia RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. RAM and storage remain at 16GB and 50GB, respectively.

Steam’s main recommended target is native 1440p at more than 70 fps on Medium settings. It also lists an alternative 4K target above 60 fps on Medium with upscaling. That gives you a clearer dividing line than the memory requirement: WARDOGS asks for the same amount of RAM at both levels, but the recommended graphics hardware is substantially stronger.

What these requirements mean for your PC

If your system matches the minimum list, the published goal is a 1080p image at 60 fps on Low with upscaling. That is the configuration to use as a baseline for compatibility, not as a promise of native 1080p rendering.

For native 1440p above 70 fps, the recommended tier is the relevant target. The game also supports battles of up to 100 players split across three teams, along with vehicles, construction, destruction and logistics, so the PC is being asked to handle a large online combined-arms battlefield rather than a small arena match.

WARDOGS is an online PvP game and uses the kernel-level Elytra anti-cheat. Playing requires acceptance of a third-party EULA as well as a broadband connection.

Early Access plans and price

The developers expect WARDOGS to remain in Early Access for approximately one to two years, although that period may change as development and community feedback continue. They also describe the Early Access price as lower than the planned full-release price, which means the current US listing at $39.99 may not remain unchanged through launch.

The game’s Early Access build is the current version available after its September 10, 2026 release on Steam.
