Reports credit Insider Gaming with a November 6, 2026 shutdown of Call of Duty: Warzone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with November 5 described as the last full day of play. Activision’s notice ties the end of service on those consoles to the end of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 06 and the start of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1.

What Activision says about the timeline

Activision’s platform update sets out several separate service changes. It scheduled the game’s removal from the PS4 and Xbox One digital stores and the end of new downloads for June 4. The notice also says players who already have the game in their platform library can install and play it until the end of Season 06.

The notice schedules the in-game store’s removal for June 25, which it also gives as the last day to redeem COD Points for store content. For the end of play, it names the end of Season 06 and the beginning of Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, rather than a calendar date.

What carries over to another platform

Activision says progress and content purchased with COD Points carry over to supported platforms when you use the same linked Activision account. COD Points themselves remain tied to platform accounts. If points are left on an unsupported console, Activision says they can be redeemed on a current-generation console in the same console family using that account.

Most content purchased with local currency is also tied to a platform account and subject to same-family conditions. So progress, purchased content and currency do not all follow the same transfer rules.

Other Call of Duty games remain in scope separately

Activision says the service change applies to Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One. Other Call of Duty titles originally released for those consoles remain playable.
