This week's visual dump

The eternal return of the Weekly Visual Dump. A column worthy of Sisyphus: once finished, it all begins again. A perfect cycle of repetition that might seem hellish to some, but here we don't mind it. Animals, jokes, curiosities, facts, and much more, with a movie recommendation at the end. This time it's an animated film I didn't know existed and it blew my mind. Enjoy!

I'm not sure if it's true, but the description of this photo claimed that the multicolored honey from these bees was due to having an M&M factory nearby. And no, I'm not going to check the veracity of the matter because it might be something else and that would break my heart.

I had no idea this animated film existed until a contact on Facebook shared it. And honestly, wow, I was impressed. The story, as the poster says, is super minimalist: a castaway gets stranded on a desert island and meets a red turtle, with whom he becomes friends. That's it. It's a silent film, not a single word is spoken throughout its runtime, and it proposes a different rhythm and a different kind of reflection. Nothing Disney, nothing Pixar, and with the clear influence of Ghibli, La Tortue Rouge (2016) is a beautiful allegory. Watch it when you have a moment of peace, it's not something to leave on while checking messages.
