Windows 10 has been on the market for just over four years, and a couple of weeks ago version 1909 arrived, the eighth major update. With each new update, Redmond works on fixing bugs and adding new features, but it also removes or stops developing those that have become obsolete or weren't well received by the public. If users had the power to decide which features should disappear from Windows 10, they'd probably keep only the skeleton of the operating system. The entire store and universal apps, a large number of services, Microsoft Edge (which will soon be based on Chromium), and even the current interface would be ejected. But the truth is that Redmond has already retired many features. It recently confirmed the retirement of the Cortana app for iOS and Android, favoring a deeper integration of the assistant into Office 365.
