What does WinScroll do?
With WinScroll you can define a work area on the desktop where you can freely move your mouse cursor, but you won't be able to access anything outside that allowed zone. For example, you set an area of 800 x 600 px, and inside it is the "Documents" folder, which you can access, while everything outside that zone will be unreachable with the cursor. The platform also allows you to create a defined zone by entering X and Y coordinates. Once you download the program from its official page, run it as Administrator and you'll see a simple window with a minimalist interface.
Customizing the work area
You can customize the coordinates by assigning values to "X" and "Y". For example, set "X" to 200 and "Y" to 100. This means the mouse won't be able to leave the rectangle that extends 200 pixels to the right and 100 pixels upward. It's very important to understand that the area you define starts from the bottom-left corner.
But if you specify a small area, the platform's interface might end up outside the area, leaving you without access to its tools.
Closing WinScroll when it's outside the safe area
Now we'll show you something very important: Closing WinScroll when it ends up outside the safe area! To do this, there are two methods. The first and simplest is to navigate to the folder where the WinScroll.exe file is located (it's important to have it open). To get to the folder, use the Alt+Tab shortcut. When you select the folder with the arrow keys, locate the folder or file and use the Shift+F10 keyboard shortcut, then run it as Administrator; the program will start within the defined work area.
The second option is to open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and find the WinScroll.exe process using the arrow keys. Once located, right-click to open the context menu (Shift+F10) and end the task.
