Musink is a music notation application that lets you compose music simply and then export your work as MIDI files. One of its strongest points is the possibility of creating music for multiple voices. Much like a word processor for text, this music processor gives composers a platform to give free rein to their creativity.
Getting Started with Musink
To begin, download the application from its official website. After installation, the tool will ask you to load an existing document or create a new score. You'll then need to insert the time signature, voices, number of rests, and the title of the piece. At this point you'll see its straightforward interface, with the score in the center and the notes, rests, flats, sharps, and so on on the left side.
Composing Your Score
Composing music with the platform is an easy task. You simply drag and drop a note onto the staff—for example, place a quarter note on the note "Fa" or insert a quarter rest—among many other features.
Understanding Time and Note Values
If you're a novice and have no idea about time signatures and note values (the utility lets you manipulate the tempo of the piece), the tool will only allow you to place the notes (beats) that correspond in each measure. Once you finish the project, you can export it to MIDI format, making it usable in countless music tools.
You can also manipulate the time of the piece, and at this point we want to pause because if you're new to this, the application will guide you through the correct note values.
