A Fan-Made Level Editor

While the successful Super Mario Maker already boasts more than two million levels available on Wii U, a fan is developing his own level editor for PC based on the classic The Legend of Zelda. This is Zelda Maker (temporary name), an unofficial project that lets you create and share your own Legend of Zelda worlds. Justin Sink, the mind behind Zelda Maker, is aware that Nintendo could take legal action and shut down the project, so as soon as he can, he will replace the game's sprites to avoid problems. Meanwhile, take a look at the alpha version of Zelda Maker:

As clearly stated in the video description, this is an alpha version and does not represent the final version of Zelda Maker. Justin says he would like to add some features that official Zelda games could use in the future. As for the tool set, the editor includes characteristic elements from the The Legend of Zelda universe to add everything from characters, with a wide variety of enemies, to objects, such as weapons and environmental decorations for the scenarios you want to play.

In this kind of game, you can let your creativity and ingenuity run wild when creating levels thanks to the wide variety of available options, as well as enjoying the creations of other players. Let's hope the project goes well so we can all enjoy several adventures with Link and his friends. Zelda Maker is being developed by Justin Sink and will be available on Windows. In the meantime, you can freely download the alpha version by clicking here. Try it and tell Justin what you think, as he invites players to share their opinions.
