De Honor X8d combineert een 6,77-inch AMOLED-scherm met 120 Hz, 1.080 × 2.392 pixels en een opgegeven piekhelderheid van 3.000 nits. Het scherm ondersteunt ook Always-On Display, DCI-P3, krasbestendig glas, TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification en 3840Hz PWM. Met Dual Nano-SIM en Dual SIM Dual Standby zijn twee lijnen mogelijk.
De Si-Carbon Li-Ion-accu van 7.000 mAh ondersteunt 45W snelladen en omgekeerd laden. De beschikbare specificaties geven echter geen onderbouwde gebruiksduur. De behuizing is 7,5 mm dik en weegt 188 g, combineert glas en kunststof en heeft IP65-bescherming tegen water en stof.
De hardware bestaat uit Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, 8 GB DDR5-RAM, uitbreidbare UFS 3.1-opslag tot 512 GB en Qualcomm Adreno 610-graphics. Achterop zitten een 108MP-hoofdcamera met OIS en een 5MP-ultragroothoekcamera; vooraan is er een 16MP-camera. Video-opname gaat tot 1080p bij 30 fps. Android 16, Google Services, NFC, stereoluidsprekers en Dolby Atmos maken dit een passende keuze voor wie een groot scherm, hoge accucapaciteit en brede connectiviteit zoekt, maar geen optische zoom of video met hogere resolutie nodig heeft.
