De Oppo Find X8s past bij wie een compacte, krachtige Android-telefoon met veelzijdige camera’s zoekt; het belangrijkste nadeel is dat Google Services ontbreken. Deze versie heeft 12 GB RAM en 256 GB opslag. De telefoon is ook verkrijgbaar in configuraties van 12 GB / 256 GB tot 16 GB / 1 TB.
Het AMOLED-scherm van 6,32 inch heeft 460 ppi en beslaat 90,6 % van de voorkant. Beide cijfers behoren tot de beste van telefoons uit zijn tijd. Het toestel weegt 179 g en is 7,7 mm dik. Gorilla Glass 7i, Dolby Vision en een verversingssnelheid van 120 Hz maken het scherm compleet. De AnTuTu-score behoort tot de hoogste van zijn tijd, en deze uitvoering gebruikt UFS 4.0-opslag.
Achterop zitten drie camera’s van 50 MP. De hoofdcamera heeft optische beeldstabilisatie en de telecamera biedt 3x optische zoom, die tot de beste van telefoons uit zijn tijd behoort.
