SammyGuru reported on October 20, 2026, that its Galaxy A56 displayed Quick Share’s “Share with Apple devices” option after an update to One UI 9. The report says the phone can send files to and receive them from compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Quick Share is Samsung’s sharing feature; AirDrop is Apple’s. NeoTeo has also covered reports of One UI 9 reaching the Galaxy S25 family in Europe.
Find the setting and send a file
SammyGuru gives this settings path for the Galaxy A56: Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share > Share with Apple devices. To send a file from the A56, set AirDrop visibility on the Apple receiving device to Everyone, so it can be discovered.
To receive a file on the A56, open Quick Share on the Galaxy phone. The report names compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs as the Apple devices involved.
What to expect during a transfer
SammyGuru says the A56 may temporarily disconnect from Wi-Fi while searching for or sharing files with Apple devices. It also reports that these transfers may be slower than regular Quick Share transfers.
The option’s visibility may depend on the software region, the Quick Share app, and the Google Play services version, according to SammyGuru.
The separate Galaxy A57 report
Android Police reported on October 21, 2026, that Galaxy A57 users had Quick Share support for Apple devices after One UI 9. The Samsung Community thread cited in that report asked whether the A57 had the feature; a reply referred to a post on Threads rather than describing a successful transfer.
