Meta’s Q3 2026 advertising revenue by user geography grew 17.9% in Europe, to $14.234 billion, compared with 33.3% in the US and Canada, to $28.438 billion. Average ad prices and impressions also grew more slowly in Europe. In July, Meta CFO Susan Li had named less-personalized ads as one possible headwind to the quarter’s outlook, alongside other factors.

Meta’s ad revenue grew more slowly in Europe

Meta’s Q3 2026 presentation gives the regional revenue totals for Q3 2025 and Q3 2026. The growth rates below are calculated from those amounts. Meta allocates this revenue by estimated user location during revenue-generating activity; its financial-statement revenue geography instead uses customer addresses.

The revenue gap came alongside slower growth in both measures shown separately in Meta’s presentation: the average price per ad and the number of ad impressions delivered. Those are distinct parts of the comparison, and the regional figures do not assign a cause to the difference.

Less-personalized ads were one possible headwind

On July 29, 2026, Susan Li said Meta’s fully rolled-out Less Personalized Ads (LPA) option in Europe may be an additional headwind to its Q3 outlook. She also cited comparison with a period of faster impression growth and continued integrity enforcement. Her comment described possible factors affecting the outlook; it did not quantify LPA’s effect on the later Q3 results.

Meta reported global Q3 advertising revenue of $63.1 billion, up 26% year over year. That broader figure provides context for the regional results, while the European and US-and-Canada figures show how growth varied by user geography.
