Mixed Reality Viewer lets you add 3D objects to your live video conversations using your webcam and the platform's collection of 3D models. You can also capture photos and share them on social media. The tool includes a video tutorial to help you master the controls and start mixing 3D models into your video calls right away.
Getting to Know the Interface
When you open the platform's interface, the first 3D figure you'll see is a seagull. At the top, you'll find the following controls: switch between 3D models, put the models in full screen, and adapt your device to the program (mouse, touch screen, or keyboard).
On the left menu, you'll find the platform's configuration options, such as eliminating the welcome screen, manipulating the rotation of the models, and enabling or disabling the duplicated webcam.
Exploring the 'More with 3D' Features
One of the most important options in the platform is the More with 3D tab, where you can enable the following features:
- Model View: This option enables a single 3D model of your choice, which you can interact with. The element keeps rotating, and you can change its view by zooming or changing the plane.
- Mixed Reality: This option lets you first activate your webcam and then place the selected object anywhere in the frame. You can rotate, change the direction and position of the object, and then take a screenshot.
- Remix 3D: The service gives you access to more 3D models that you can add to the live image in your video conversation.
- Paint 3D: Clicking this option opens Paint 3D, allowing you to edit the 3D model and personalize it to your liking.
- Photo: This option stores your captures in the folders you select from this tab. You can also search for a photo on your device and insert any 3D model from the platform into it.
With Mixed Reality Viewer, you can incorporate 3D objects into your photographs or your live video conversations. The program is free and available for Windows 10 operating systems.
