ADNOC announced a partnership with OpenAI to plan the use of GPT models and UAE-based computing infrastructure across its energy business. The company describes an intended effort to connect decisions across its operations, “from well to market,” rather than a completed rollout. ADNOC’s announcement outlines the plan. Reports placed the signing at ADIPEC’s opening in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 2, 2026.

What the partnership plans to cover

ADNOC frames the planned AI use around connecting decisions throughout its business. A report by El Periódico de la Energía described the intended scope as operational, investment and commercial decisions.

Ahram Online identified the planned platform as OpenAI Frontier and reported ADNOC as the first energy firm to deploy it. ADNOC’s announcement describes the deployment as a plan, with OpenAI GPT models and computing infrastructure based in the UAE.

The wider UAE agreements

El Periódico de la Energía also reported four agreements between OpenAI and Emirati entities, including ADNOC and G42, across government, energy and investment.
