Google Cloud announced that its google-cloud-developer plugin was available through Antigravity Marketplace beginning November 3, 2026. Google describes a package of five skills, a connection to its Developer Knowledge MCP server and safeguards for cloud-development tasks.
The plugin is listed in the Marketplace’s Build with Google section. Google says developers can install it through the Marketplace interface or with a terminal command.
What the plugin includes
Google names five bundled skills. One retrieves answers and code examples grounded in Google’s developer documentation; another can discover specialized skills from Google’s public catalog on demand.
| Skill | Role Google describes |
finding-google-skills | Finds specialized skills from Google’s public catalog on demand, using a routing rule named google-cloud-discovery.md. |
retrieving-developer-knowledge | Grounds answers and code samples in Google Cloud, Firebase, Android, Web and Gemini documentation. |
gcloud | Supports workflows using the Google Cloud CLI. Google also describes command checks and safeguards for gcloud operations. |
google-cloud-recipe-auth | Guides authentication toward service identities and Application Default Credentials (ADC), rather than downloaded service-account JSON keys. |
google-cloud-recipe-onboarding | Helps inspect the local environment and existing CLI configuration and prepare a roadmap before commands run. |
The documentation connection is the Developer Knowledge MCP server. MCP, or Model Context Protocol, lets an AI tool connect to an external service. Google says the bundled server is pre-authorized for the Marketplace integration, so setting up that connection does not require a manually configured API key, an exchanged OAuth token or edits to configuration files.
How Google says to install it
In Antigravity Marketplace, Google places the plugin under Build with Google. The terminal alternative is:
agy plugin install google-cloud-developer
Google says the command registers the skills and connects the Developer Knowledge MCP server. The general Marketplace interface has Marketplace and Installed tabs and a search field, alongside example listings for Firebase and Google Workspace.
For a broader introduction to the environment, NeoTeo’s guide to building a local app with Antigravity IDE covers an IDE workflow; this announcement concerns a Google Cloud plugin in Antigravity Marketplace.
The safeguards Google describes
Google says the plugin recommends least-privilege IAM patterns. IAM, or Identity and Access Management, controls what users and services can do in a cloud project. The plugin is also described as asking for consent before enabling billable APIs or changing cloud infrastructure, checking gcloud command syntax and blocking accidental destructive operations.
For onboarding, Google says the plugin audits project state before service activation. Its authentication guidance favors service identities and ADC over downloading service-account JSON keys. These safeguards shape the workflow Google describes, including when an agent proposes changes with possible billing or infrastructure effects.
