The list of images and packages with maintenance utilities is very long, but we are always willing to explore an extra option that makes our work faster and easier. That is how we came across All in One - System Rescue Toolkit, an ISO image of almost 700 MB based on Ubuntu with everything we might need, and a little more.

We all know that there are very powerful maintenance tools out there, and that the most logical thing for any administrator is to concentrate their preferred resources in one place. This task is usually manual, and involves updating each component, and adding or removing those that for different reasons are no longer useful (loss of compatibility, conflicts with antivirus, etc.). But we are in an era of automation, and although old keyboard veterans still lean toward solutions with direct user intervention, more and more people are adopting automatic systems capable of solving a large percentage of problems without even looking at what appears on the monitor. With those words, we arrive at the doors of All in One - System Rescue Toolkit.

What Does All in One - System Rescue Toolkit Include?

This package is divided into two parts. The first is a live image based on Ubuntu, loaded with low-level utilities designed to perform repairs on a Windows installation when the operating system refuses to boot correctly. Within the Live section we find software like Clonezilla for cloning and backing up data, PhotoRec for recovering files, NT Password Reset to remove the Windows password in case you forget it, GParted for partition management, and Brasero for burning optical discs. The second is an "autorun" section, meaning it runs from within Windows, and offers alternatives in the style of Autoruns, a serial number recovery tool (based on Nirsoft software), and several antimalware engines to purge any malicious element floating in the background of the operating system.

Since it uses Ubuntu as its base, All in One - System Rescue Toolkit represents a download of almost 700 MB, and is not compatible with 32-bit processors due to kernel limitations (only chips with x64 support will be able to start the Linux environment). In the Windows version there are no apparent problems, and it should work with XP onwards. The download can be found at the link below, but be patient. All in One - System Rescue Toolkit has been picked up by social networks and other colleague portals, a detail that is knocking out the official site several times a day.
