Many of us resigned ourselves after the cancellation of Silent Hills. However, not all is bad news: an artist is developing Allison Road, a survival horror inspired by the P.T. demo of Silent Hills.
It was sad news when we learned that Silent Hills was canceled. The franchise promised to rise from its current decline under Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, and also would have Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead) as the game's protagonist. But Kojima's departure from Konami ended up canceling the game definitively, removing the P.T. demo from the PlayStation Store and causing the resignation of franchise fans. However, the P.T. demo was enough to inspire a young artist to make his own survival horror called Allison Road.
The person responsible for this project is Chris Kesler, an environment artist in the film industry who worked on Avatar, The Hobbit, and Guardians of the Galaxy. As for the game, Allison Road takes place in a house in Britain where we take on the role of an unnamed protagonist who wakes up in the middle of the night hearing a loud noise, followed by a scream. From this point on, the clock doesn't stop, and you have until 3:15 a.m. to solve the murder of a girl, since her disappearance is linked to the protagonist.
From that moment you will have to explore the house in the middle of the night where many surprises await you. Technically, the title is being developed by six people who are using Unreal Engine 4 to create the game. Chris confessed that for the development of Allison Road he was inspired by the P.T. demo and by the Amityville murders, where an entire family was murdered by the son while they slept. With that in mind, terror will not be absent from this title.
Allison Road is being developed by Chris Kesler and will be available on PC with support for Oculus Rift. The game does not have a concrete release date, but it is expected to arrive sometime in 2016.
