On Oct. 14, Anthropic reportedly told prospective investors at a San Francisco meeting that its Q3 2026 revenue was $16.8 billion and that it had reached profitability on an adjusted basis. The Financial Times and Business Insider reported the figures. The meeting was the subject of NeoTeo’s earlier report on Anthropic’s planned Q3 briefing.
Q3 revenue was about 45% above Q2
The reported $16.8 billion for Q3 was roughly 45% higher than the rounded Q2 figures. Business Insider put Q1 revenue at $4.8 billion and Q2 at about $11.6 billion; Reuters’ account of the Financial Times report gave the Q2 figure as $11.5 billion. Business Insider Reuters Financial Times
| Quarter | Reported revenue |
| Q1 2026 | $4.8 billion |
| Q2 2026 | About $11.5 billion–$11.6 billion |
| Q3 2026 | $16.8 billion |
Using either rounded Q2 figure, the Q3 increase works out to approximately 45% quarter over quarter. PitchBook analyst Harrison Rolfes described Anthropic as still growing, but at a slower pace, and said that could weigh on the valuation it seeks in a potential IPO. Business Insider
The profitability claim was adjusted
Business Insider also reported that Anthropic described itself to prospective investors as profitable on an adjusted basis in Q3. Adjusted profitability is a distinct measure from GAAP net income, and the qualifier matters when interpreting the claim. Business Insider
